hotline
Hotline is a red, analog, telephone from the 1970s that receives calls from itself, and makes calls to itself, Confessional, and Messenger. It presents us with an unexpected and confusing pair of interactions where we receive calls from the present environment of the object, and are only able to call my other thesis projects—a hotline between them, if you will. Originally an apparatus for contacting other telephones, not for contacting itself, a television, or a car radio, Hotline exists in a glitch loop across media and medium.
